Als Regallücke (engl. Out-of-Stock) wird im Einzelhandel ein Regalplatz bezeichnet, der nicht mehr durch den vorgesehenen Artikel gefüllt ist.

Bei einer weltweiten Studie wurde eine durchschnittliche OoS-Quote von 8,3% ermittelt.[1] Dabei treten Out-of-Stock-Situationen am häufigsten im Bereich der Kurzwaren und der Köperpflegeprodukte auf. Elektronikartikel und Haushaltspapier sind dagegen selten betroffen. [2]

Ursachen

Die häufigsten Ursachen für Regallücken sind Listungsdifferenzen, Bestellprobleme, Unzulänglichkeiten bei der Regalbefüllung sowie Liefer- und Platzierungsprobleme.[3]

Kundenreaktionen

Die Reaktion der Kunden auf Regallücken setzt sich nach einer Studie wie folgt zusammen:[3]

  • Kaufabbruch (11%)
  • Kaufaufschub (22%)
  • Geschäftswechsel (37%)
  • Markenwechsel (9%)
  • Variantenwechsel (21%)

Probleme

Die Kaufabbrüche und Geschäftswechsel führen zu sinkenden Verkaufszahlen und damit zu sinkenden Umsätzen von bis zu 3%.[3] Daher ist die Regallücke eines der zentralen Probleme auf der Beschaffungseite des Handels.

Lösungsansätze

Zur Lösung des Problems sind viele Maßnahmen denkbar, die an verschiedenen Punkten der Supply-Chain ansetzen. Ein erster Schritt ist die Sensibilisierung der Mitarbeiter im Einzelhandel für das Problem, da diese für die Befüllung der Regale verantwortlich sind. Des Weiteren können z.B. Auto-Dispositionssysteme dazu beitragen, dass stets entsprechend der zu erwartenden Nachfrage Bestellungen ausgeführt werden.

Sonderfälle

Ein Sonderfall der Regallücke ist der sogenannte "Phantom-Oos", der auftritt, wenn der Artikel noch im Laden verfügbar ist, jedoch nicht am richtigen Regalplatz.[3]
