Pallasmaa

Juhani Uolevi Pallasmaa (* 14. September 1936 in Hämeenlinna) ist ein finnischer Architekt und Professor für Architektur bei der Helsinki University of Technology. Pallasmaa ist ehemaliger Direktor der Museum für finnische Architektur (1978-1983).

Seine Ausstellungen über finnische Architektur, Planung und visuelle Kunst wurden in mehr als 30 Ländern gezeigt und er hat zahlreiche Artikel über kulturelle Philiosophie, ökologische Psychologie und Theorien über Architektur und Künste in verschiedenen Ländern geschrieben.

Unter seinen vielen Büchern über architektonische Theorie ist auch "The Eyes of the Skin - Architecture and the Senses", ein Buch, dass ein Klassiker architektonischer Theorie wurde und es ist erforderlich, das Buch in Kursen in Architekturschulen auf der ganzen Welt gelesen zu haben.

Pallasmaa ist Mitglied der International Academy of Architecture und hat ein Forschungsstipendiat der American Institute of Architects.
