Pop Will Eat Itself

Pop Will Eat Itself war eine englische Musikgruppe, die 1981 in Stourbridge unter dem Namen From Eden gegründet und 1986 umbenannt wurde. Ihr Stil variierte über die Jahre von Alternative Rock über Techno bis hin zu Industrial, war jedoch stets durch eine reichhaltige Verwendung von Samples aus der Medienlandschaft geprägt.

Im Jahre 1996 löste die Band sich auf, 2005 kam es zu einer kurz anhaltenden Wiedervereinigung.

Der Sänger und Gitarrist, Clint Mansell, ist heute als Filmmusikkomponist tätig.

Die Gruppe besaß ein umfangreiches und kreatives Merchandise, das auf The Designers Republic zurückgeht. Einige Stücke werden im Design Museum London ausgestellt.
