Die Gemeinde Port-Sainte-Foy-et-Ponchapt mit 2513 Einwohnern (Stand 1. Januar 2008) liegt in der Dordogne und entstand 1859 durch die Fusion der Gemeinden Saint-Avit-de-Tizac, Le Canet und La Rouquette. 1960 wurde die Ortschaft Ponchapt eingemeindet. Sie ist die Partnergemeinde von Plobsheim im Elsass.

Das Château de Fauga ist ein Schloss, das im 18. Jahrhundert erbaut wurde.

Religion

In Port-Sainte-Foy-et-Ponchapt wird vor Allem den christlichen Religionen nachgelebt. So gibt es dort eine katholische und eine reformierte Kirche. Eine weitere Kirche, evangelisch-reformiert, wird vor Allem von Roma aufgesucht. Wöchentlich gibt es auch einen Kult sunnitischer Moslems.
