Das psychoakustische Modell soll die Grenzen für akustische Wahrnehmung (hier: des Menschen) darstellen.

Erzeugung

Auf der Grundlage des menschlichen Hörfeldes, der Frequenzgruppenbildung im Innenohr, der unterschiedlichen Signalverarbeitung im Innenohr des Menschen und der simultanen- und temporären Maskierungseffekte, kann man ein Modell erstellen, das angibt, welche akustischen Signale oder welche unterschiedlichen Kombinationen von akustischen Signalen für einen, mehrere oder auch für jeden Menschen mit intaktem Gehör hörbar sind, da sich die Höreigenschaften von Mensch zu Mensch unterscheiden.

Ziel

  • Es soll ein Modell gefunden werden, das auf das Gehör aller Menschen anwendbar ist.
  • Verwendung für verlustbehaftete Audiodatenkompression oder auch Audioreduktion durch Weglassen unhörbarer Audioinformation.
