Radio Waddenzee

Radio Waddenzee ist ein im friesischen Harlingen gegründeter Internetradio- und Mittelwellen-Sender. Er sendet seit dem 30. Marz 2007 mit einer Antenne in Pietersbierum auf der Mittelwellen-Frequenz 1602 kHz (Wellenlänge: 188m), in Niederländischer Sprache. Das Programm ist auf Touristen ausgerichtet, die das Wattenmeer besuchen und beinhaltet daher primär touristische Informationen. Der Sender hat auch eine Drive-in Show.

Zwischen 19:00 und 7:00Uhr strahlt Radio Seagull sein Programm auf der Frequenz von Radio Waddenzee aus.

Von Sommer 2007 an wird der Sender von einem alten englischen Feuerschiff - dem Trinity House lightvessel no. 8 (LV8) - aus ausgestrahlt werden. Damit soll er der erste offiziell anerkannte Seesender der Niederlande werden. Dieser Sender war getestet am 17. November 2007 von 13 Uhr bis 19 Uhr und auch von 24. November 2007 von 13 Uhr bis 18 Uhr.
