Reexport

Als Reexport bezeichnet man den Export einer Ware, die zuvor importiert wurde.

Viele Produkte werden in Länder exportiert, die durch Niedriglöhne und ähnliche Standortfaktoren die günstigste Möglichkeit zur Veredlung von Waren bieten. Danach werden die Güter zurück in das Ursprungsland oder an Dritte geliefert. Nach dem Zollverfahren des Veredelungsverkehrs müssen Produkte, die nach einer Veredelung im Ausland reimportiert werden, nicht mehr voll verzollt werden.

Beispiel

Einige Unternehmen lassen Garnelen, die im skandinavischen Raum gefangen werden, nach Nordafrika transportieren. Dort pulen billige Arbeitskräfte die Tiere. Im Anschluss wird die Ware zurück in europäische Länder gebracht, wo sie trotz der Transportkosten noch gewinnbringend an Endverbraucher verkauft werden kann.
