Rick Dees, eigentlich Rigdon Osmond Dees (* 14. März 1950 in Jacksonville, Florida) ist ein bekannter US-amerikanischer Radio-DJ. Er lebt bei San Fernando in Kalifornien.
Dees hatte auch Gastauftritte in einigen Filmen und Fernsehserien, z. B. Love Boat, Diagnose: Mord und La Bamba. 1999 wurde er in die Radio Hall of Fame aufgenommen und auch mit den People’s Choice Award ausgezeichnet. Auch ein Stern auf dem Hollywood Walk of Fame ist ihm gewidmet.
Mit seinen Hit Disco Duck belegte Rick Dees 1976 eine Woche lang Platz 1 der Hitparade. Dieser Song wurde u.a. 1977 von D.J. Scott gecovered. Dem Radiomoderator Willem gelang ein Charterfolg mit der deutschen Version dieses Titels: "Tarzan Ist Wieder Da".
Dees war von 1982 bis 2004 Morgenmoderator der Radiostation "KIIS FM" in Los Angeles. Seit 1983 moderiert er zudem die wöchentliche Chartshow "Rick Dees Weekly Top 40", die in drei verschiedenen Formaten auf rund 350 Radiostationen der USA sowie im Internet als Stream und Podcast ausgestrahlt wird.
Seit 25. September 2006 ist Rick Dees als Morgenmoderator bei der Radiostation "Movin´ 93-9 FM" in Los Angeles tätig.
