Die LAPC-I ist eine frühe Soundkarte der Firma Roland für den IBM-kompatiblen PC. Sie kombiniert die Klangerzeugungs-Technologie des Roland MT-32-kompatiblen Roland CM-32L MIDI-Synthesizer Moduls mit der Roland MPU-401-Schnittstelle auf einer XT-Bus-Architektur-Steckkarte in voller Baulänge. Die Karte war preislich und leistungsmäßig der Oberklasse zuzuordnen. Sie wurde ab 1989 in Deutschland für ca. 1000 DM verkauft.

Wie bei anderen Roland-Steckkarten mit MPU-401-Schnittstelle ist zum Anschluss von externen MIDI-Geräten eine Breakout-Box (MCB-1) erforderlich.

Die Karte wird oft fälschlicherweise als LAPC-1 bezeichnet; tatsächlich ist das letzte Zeichen aber keine Eins, sondern ein "I" für "IBM" --- in Japan erschien ebenfalls für den dort verbreiteten NEC PC98-Computer eine Karte namens LAPC-N ("N" für "NEC").
