Die Royal Statistical Society (RSS) (deutsch: Königliche Statistische Gesellschaft) ist eine Gelehrtengesellschaft und eine professionelle Körperschaft für Statistiker in Großbritannien. Sie wurde 1834 als „Statistical Society of London“ (deutsch: Statistische Gesellschaft von London) ebendort gegründet. Zu den berühmtesten ehemaligen Mitgliedern zählte Florence Nightingale, die 1858 das erste weibliche Mitglied der Gesellschaft wurde. 1887 wurde aus der Statistical Society of London die jetzige Royal Statistical Society gebildet. Im Jahre 1993 wurde auch noch das Institute of Statisticians (deutsch: Statistisches Institut) integriert.
Die RSS hält eine jährliche Konferenz ab; die letzte fand im September 2008 an der Universität von Nottingham statt. Die nächste Konferenz wird im September 2009 an der Universität von Edinburgh stattfinden und das 175jährige Bestehen der Gesellschaft feiern.
Die Royal Statistical Society verleiht jährlich die nach dem britischen Arzt und Statistiker William Guy (1810–1885) benannte Guy-Medaille.
