Sabile (deutsch: Zabeln) ist eine Stadt im Rajon Talsi in Lettland, an der Abava gelegen.

Sabile wurde erstmals 1253 urkundlich erwähnt. Vom 14. Jahrhundert bis zum 16. Jahrhundert gehörte es zu einer Burg des Schwertbrüderordens. Sabile wurde 1917 zur Stadt und hat 3.367 Einwohner.

Das inmitten der Kurländischen Schweiz gelegene Sabile hat mit dem laut Guinness-Buch der Rekorde nördlichsten Weinberg der Welt eine Besonderheit aufzuweisen. Auf diesem Berg wird schon seit der Schwertbrüderzeit Wein kultiviert. Während der Sowjetzeit wurde der Weinberg nicht bewirtschaftet. Erst 1989 wurde der Weinbau wieder aufgenommen. Der Weinberg hat eine Höhe von 33,7 m (115 m Seehöhe) und eine Gesamtanbaufläche von 1,5 ha.[1]
