Science on Stage

Der gemeinnützige Verein Science on Stage Deutschland e.V. (SonSD) ist im Jahre 2003 aus dem deutschen Organisationskomitee der europäischen Initiative "Science on Stage", die von den sieben größten Forschungsorganisationen (Europäische Weltraumorganisation (ESA), CERN, Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), ESRF, ESO, EFDA, European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL); zusammengeschlossen im EIRO-Forum) auf EU-Ebene durchgeführt wird, hervorgegangen.

Ziel von SonSD ist es, den europäischen Austausch zwischen Lehrkräften aus dem MINT-Bereich voranzutreiben.

Ziele

Hauptanliegen und Ziel des Vereins SonSD und seiner Förderer, ist der europäische Austausch der Pädagogen über Lehrkonzepte und Materialien für den naturwissenschaftlich-technischen Unterricht. Durch diesen Austausch über den nationalen Horizont hinaus soll der Unterricht in den MINT-Fächern in Deutschland verbessert und der Nachwuchs gefördert werden. Kernaufgabe von SonSD ist die Förderung der Vernetzung zwischen deutschen Lehrkräften und Lehrkräften aus anderen europäischen Ländern. Die Verbreitung von guten Unterrichtskonzepten und Experimenten soll helfen, den Unterricht in den MINT-Fächern zu verbessern.

Aus diesem Grund fördert SonSD innovative Ideen und engagierte Lehrkräfte bei ihrem Vorhaben, mit ungewöhnlichen Konzepten den Unterricht zu gestalten. Der Verein lädt Lehrkräfte mit besonders interessanten Projekten ein, an den nationalen Lehrerfortbildungen und europäischen Aktivitäten teilzunehmen.

Aktivitäten

Einige der Aktivitäten des Vereins:

  • Auswahl der deutschen Teilnehmer und Präsentation der deutschen Unterrichtsprojekte bei fünf europäischen Bildungsfestivals "Science on Stage" (2000 - 2007)
  • Ausrichtung des ersten nationalen Science on Stage Festivals (23. - 26. Oktober 2008 in Berlin)
  • Fortbildungen, Workshops und Wettbewerbe für Lehrer
  • Bildungsveranstaltungen
  • Initiierung und Durchführung des europäischen Austauschprojektes "Teaching Science in Europe"
  • Initiierung und Durchführung des europäischen Lehrer-Schüler-Projektes "Innovative Technologien bewegen Europa"
  • Bereitstellung von Materialien für den MINT-Unterricht

Science on Stage-Festival 2008

An dem Bildungsfestival nehmen rund 300 naturwissenschaftliche Lehrkräfte und Didaktiker aus 27 europäischen Ländern teil, um sich über Lehrmethoden, Materialien und neue Experimente auszutauschen. Die Teilnehmer stellen auf einem Bildungsmarkt ihre Projekte vor, diskutieren in Workshops aktuelle Problematiken und neue Lehransätze und präsentieren bei On-Stage-Aufführungen (Fachvorträge, Theaterstücke etc.) anschauliche Projekte.

Organisation

SonSD ist als eingetragener Verein in Berlin tätig. Der Verein arbeitet in einer Bürogemeinschaft inhaltlich und organisatorisch eng mit dem Verein mathematisch-naturwissenschaftlicher Excellence-Center an Schulen e.V. (MINT-EC) zusammen.
