Scratchpad

Ein Scratchpad bezeichnet ein kleines Computerprogramm zum schnellen Schreiben von Notizen, Einfügen von Zeichnungen und sonstigen Informationen, vergleichbar mit einem konventionellen Notizblock.

Microsoft bietet im Office-Paket Microsoft Office ein solches Programm unter dem Namen Microsoft OneNote an, welches neben Textspeicherung auch graphische "Spielereien" erlaubt. Außerdem ist seit Windows Vista ein einfacher aufgebautes Programm (Kurznotizen) vorinstalliert und bietet lediglich die Möglichkeit, die "Zettelgröße" und -farbe zu verändern, sowie minimale Formatierungsmöglichkeiten, jedoch keinerlei Unterstützung für Bilder oder ähnliches. Unter Mac OS X existiert ein ähnliches Programm namens Notizzettel.

Mit Evernote können Notizen, Dokumente und Fotos in verschiedenen Formaten gesammelt, sortiert und zwischen unterschiedlicher Hardware verteilt werden. Die Notizen stehen sowohl webbasiert, als auch mittels der Evernote Anwendung auf verschiedenen Systemen, darunter auch alle gängigen Handy Betriebssysteme, zur Verfügung.
