Sound of the Underground ist das Debütalbum der britischen Girlgroup Girls Aloud. Das Album wurde am 26. Mai 2003 veröffentlicht und stieg sofort auf Platz zwei der UK-Album Charts ein. Das Album verkaufte sich in der ersten Woche 37.077-mal. Insgesamt verkaufte sich das Album bis zum 5. Dezember 2004, 279.462-mal und wurde später zu ihrer ersten Platin-Platte, da es über die 300.000-Marke rutschte.

Am 31. Dezember 2006 stieg das Album wieder auf Platz 67. Es verkaufte sich ungefähr 10.000 mal und insgesamt wurden in England 330.000 Stück verkauft. Bis heute ist dieses Album das Schwächste von den bisher veröffentlichten Alben.
