Mit Stock Picking (zu deutsch auch Zielkauf) wird das Investieren in einzelne Aktien bezeichnet.

Durch gezieltes Investieren in Aktien einer bestimmten Gesellschaft, eines bestimmten Marktes oder Sektors wird eine überdurchschnittliche Rendite erwartet. Der Investor verzichtet dabei auf die Risikoreduktion eines diversifizierten Portfolios. Stock Picking wird in der Regel ein Bestandteil des Value Investing. Stock Picking widerspricht grundsätzlich der Theorie eines effizienten Kapitalmarktes, welche besagt, dass risikobereinigt durch die Auswahl einzelner Aktien keine Überrendite erzielt werden kann.
