That Scene

That Scene ist der Titel der Debütsingle des österreichischen Musikers Falco. Das Lied wurde von ihm sowohl geschrieben als auch produziert, als er Bassist bei der Wiener Rockband Drahdiwaberl war. Das Lied wurde oft am Ende der Konzerte der Gruppe gespielt. Ursprünglich hieß das Lied Ganz Wien und war auf Deutsch. Der Liedtext behandelt hauptsächlich den Drogenkonsum in Wien.

Das Video zum Lied wurde bereits 1979 aufgenommen. Am Anfang sieht man offenbar eine Frau aus einer Wiener U-Bahn aussteigen und zu einer anderen Person gehen. Diese Szenen werden immer durch andere unterbrochen, in der eine Frau mit Falco tanzt. In der U-Bahn-Station lässt die Frau mehrere Papiere fallen, auf denen das Cover zur Single That Scene zu sehen ist. Die Frau verlässt die Station und einige Männer (darunter auch Falco) folgen ihr und gehen durch das „dunkle“ Wien.

Der Song erreichte Platz 11 in der österreichischen Ö3-Hitparade, jedoch konnte Falco anfangs damit keine ausländische Erfolge verzeichnen, bis sein Album Einzelhaft veröffentlicht war.

Die Platte wurde auf dem Label von Falcos Entdecker Markus Spiegel, GiG Records, veröffentlicht. Ausgenommen der deutschsprachigen Version Ganz Wien erschien das Lied bislang nur auf den Alben Austropop Kult und Einzelhaft 25th Anniversary Edition. Die Tracklänge der remasterten Version beträgt 4:30 Minuten.
