Tinderbox (FreeBSD)

Tinderbox ist ein chroot-System zum Erstellen von Programmpaketen von FreeBSD-Ports. Tinderbox wird für das Testen der FreeBSD Ports, sowie für die Softwareverteilung in FreeBSD-Netzwerken eingesetzt. Tinderbox kompiliert gemäß den Anweisungen im FreeBSD Port den Quelltext eines Programmes und erstellt aus den Binär-Endprodukten ein Paket. Ein Paket enthält alle für die Programminstallation notwendigen Daten (Dateien, Deinstallationsinformationen, Konfigurationsarbeiten, etc.).
