Viscount Bridport ist ein erblicher britischer Adelstitel, der zweimal verliehen wurde.
Zuerst geschaffen wurde er am 16. Juni 1800 für Admiral Alexander Hood, dem jüngeren Bruder des ebenfalls berühmten britischen Admirals Samuel Hood, 1. Viscount Hood. Er führte bereits den Titel Baron Bridport of Cricket St. Thomas (seit 1794 im Adelsstand von Irland (Peerage of Ireland) und seit 1796 auch im Adelsstand von Großbritannien (Peerage of Great Britain). Da er 1814 kinderlos starb, erloschen seine beiden britischen Titel, während der irische Titel Baron Bridport gemäß dem Verleihungspatent auf seinen Großneffen Samuel, einem Enkel seines Bruders Admiral Samuel Hood, 1. Viscount Hood, überging. Dieser heiratete Lady Charlotte Nelson, die 3. Herzogin von Bronte, wodurch das sizilianische Herzogtum Bronte von ihrem berühmten Onkel und Seehelden Admiral Lord Nelson in die Familie Hood kam. Deren einziger überlebender Sohn Alexander Nelson Hood wurde am 6. Juli 1868 wieder zum Viscount Bridport (of Cricket St. Thomas and of Bronte) erhoben.
Die Titel trägt heute Alexander Nelson Hood, 4. Viscount Bridport, 7. Herzog von Bronte. Titelanwärter ist dessen ältester Sohn Hon. Peregrine Alexander Nelson Hood.
