Baron Ponsonby of Shulbrede, of Shulbrede in der Grafschaft Sussex, ist ein erblicher britischer Adelstitel in der Peerage of the United Kingdom, benannt nach der Ortschaft Shulbrede und der Familie Ponsonby, von der ein Zweig den Titel führt.
Verleihung
Der Titel wurde im Jahre 1930 für den Politiker und Schriftsteller Arthur Ponsonby geschaffen. Dieser sollte in der Regierung von Ramsay MacDonald leitende Aufgaben im House of Lords übernehmen.

Ponsonby war ein Urenkel von Frederick Ponsonby, 3. Earl of Bessborough. Die Barone Ponsonby of Shulbrede stehen daher auch in der Erbfolge für den Titel des Earl of Bessborough und die Titel, welche diesem nachgeordnet sind.
Nachdem der vierte Baron bei der Reform des House of Lords im Jahre 1999 seinen Sitz verloren hatte, erhielt er im darauf folgenden Jahr die Würde eines Life Peers als Baron Ponsonby of Roehampton. Auf diese Weise konnte er seinen Sitz wieder einnehmen.
