Ture (Name)

Ture ist ein nordgermanischer Vorname für Jungen, der sich ableitet aus dem Namen des altgermanischen Donner-Gottes Thor. Nach 1900 erlangte der Name vor allem in Schweden größere volkssprachliche Verbreitung. In den zwanziger Jahren wurde der Name dann auch in Deutschland populär, wenngleich hier zunächst meist mit „h“ geschrieben, also als Thure.
