Die Two Treatises of Government (dt.: Zwei Abhandlungen über die Regierung; engl. auch Two Treatises of Government: In the Former, The False Principles and Foundation of Sir Robert Filmer, And His Followers, are Detected and Overthrown. The Latter is an Essay concerning The True Original, Extent, and End of Civil-Government) ist ein Werk der politischen Philosophie, das John Locke 1689 anonym veröffentlichte. Insbesondere die zweite Abhandlung wird oft als Manifest für die liberale Demokratie und den Kapitalismus bezeichnet und hat dementsprechend positive wie negative Kritik auf sich gezogen.
Die Theorie, die Locke in den beiden Abhandlungen darlegt, hatte grundlegenden Einfluss auf die Glorious Revolution und die danach eingerichtete Staatsordnung in England sowie im 18. Jahrhundert auf die Amerikanische Verfassung von 1787 und die Französische Revolution von 1789.
