Viscount Knollys, of Caversham in der Grafschaft Oxfordshire, ist ein erblicher britischer Adelstitel in der Peerage of the United Kingdom, welcher von der Familie Knollys geführt wird.

Stammsitz der Familie ist Bramerton Hall bei Norwich in Norfolk. Der Nachname wird "Noles" ausgesprochen.

Verleihung

Der Titel wurde im Jahre 1911 für Francis Knollys geschaffen. Dieser war Privatsekretär des britischen Königs Edward VII. seit 1870, zunächst als dieser Prince of Wales und damit Thronfolger war, dann während dessen Regierungszeit.

Weitere Titel

Der erste Viscount war bereits 1902 zum Baron Knollys, of Caversham in der Grafschaft Oxfordshire, ernannt worden. Der Titel wird nunmehr als nachgeordneter Titel geführt.

Dieser Titel war bereits 1603 an William Knollys verliehen worden. Dieser wurde dann 1616 zum Viscount Wallingford und 1626 zum Earl of Banbury erhoben, sämtliche in the Peerage of England. Die Titel erloschen mit dessen Tod, was von der Familie Knollys jedoch teilweise bis zum heutigen Tage bestritten wird.
