Waffle House (dt.= Waffelhaus) ist eine amerikanische Schnellrestaurantkette, die Waffeln mit verschiedenen Füllungen vertreibt. Sitz des Unternehmens ist Norcross (Georgia).

Geschichte

Das Unternehmen wurde 1955 von Joe Rogers, Sr. und Tom Forkner gegründet und beide eröffneten zunächst eine kleine Filiale in Avondale Estates, Georgia, um die Nachbarschaft mit Waffeln zu verköstigen. Mit der Zeit eröffneten sie hier und da weitere Restaurants. Bis heute hat Waffle House 1.500 Filialen in 25 Staaten der USA (Stand 2006). 2005 feierten die beiden Gründer zusammen mit ihren ca. 30.000 Mitarbeitern das 50-jährige Bestehen.

Waffle House ist in Deutschland nicht vertreten.
