Mary Wayte (* 25. März 1965) ist eine ehemalige US-amerikanische Schwimmerin.

Bei den Olympischen Spielen 1984 in Los Angeles wurde sie über 200 m Freistil Olympiasiegerin. Vier Jahre später konnte sie in Seoul nochmals die Silbermedaille mit der 4×100 m Lagenstaffel und die Bronzemedaille mit der 4×100 m Freistilstaffel gewinnen. Im Jahr 2000 wurde sie in die Ruhmeshalle des internationalen Schwimmsports aufgenommen.

Nach ihrer Laufbahn wurde sie Sportkommentatorin bei NBC und ESPN und berichtete unter anderem von den Schwimmwettkämpfen bei den Olympischen Spielen 1996 in Atlanta.
