Webshots (dt. etwa „WWW-Schüsse“) bietet die Möglichkeit zur Verbreitung eigener Fotos im Internet. Die Internetpräsenz wird seit 2007 von American Greetings betrieben.

Webshots wurde 1996 als Internet-Domain für professionelle Hintergrundbilder (engl. Wallpaper) eingerichtet. 1999 kam dann das Foto-Sharing (dt. etwa Bildteilhabe/Bilder teilen) dazu. Zum 17. Oktober 2009 gab es mehr als 651 Millionen Fotos auf der Seite. Die meisten der Fotos sind von jedem Benutzer auffindbar, man kann Kommentare zu Fotos hinzufügen und Blogs erstellen und an einer Community teilnehmen.

Das Webangebot wird von Werbung finanziert. Die Benutzer können für einen Jahresbeitrag sogenannte „Premiummitglieder“ werden, die dann die Foto-Seiten ohne Werbung betrachten können und ein größeres Kontingent zum „Hochladen“ bekommen. Des Weiteren kamen kleine Werbe-Videos auf den meisten Seiten hinzu. Das Abspeichern von Fotos in höheren Auflösungen ist allerdings nur für so genannte „Freunde“ möglich.

Webshots ist heute eine der größten Webseiten für Foto-Liebhaber.
