Anuradha Mittal

Anuradha Mittal (* 1977 in Meerut, Indien) ist die Leiterin der unabhängigen Umweltforschungseinrichtung Oakland Institute in Oakland (USA).

Ihr 2004 gegründetes Forschungsinstitut beschäftigt sich mit Umweltfragen aller Art, schwerpunktmäßig aber auch mit dem Landraub („landgrab“) in Afrika und anderen Erdteilen.

Mittal ist Mitglied in den Beiräten einiger Hilfsorganisationen und Einrichtungen wie dem Right Livelihood Award (auch als Alternativer Nobel-Preis bekannt), dem International Forum on Globalization sowie des Vorstands der (wohltätigen) Eisfirma Ben & Jerry's und kümmert sich dort um die Sozialprojekte und das Markenimage.
