Championship Wrestling From Georgia, kurz CWG, ist der Name einer ehemaligen US-amerikanischen Wrestling-Promotion, die in Atlanta, Georgia beheimatet war. Promotor war Ole Anderson.
Geschichte
Die Geschichte der Promotion beginnt per Tradition im März 1974, als Paul Jones die Promotion Georgia Championship Wrestling aufstellte. 1984 setzte sich Jones zur Ruhe und übergab die Promotion an seine Co-Promotoren Jim Barnett, Jack und Gerald Brisco sowie an Ole Anderson.
Im März 1984 setzte sich Anderson den anderen gegenüber als Chef-Booker durch. Diese verkauften darauf hin im Juli des gleichen Jahres ihren größeren Anteil an die World Wrestling Federation. So reorganisierte Anderson seinen Anteil am 14. Juli 1984 in die neue NWA-Suborganisation (engl. Affiliate) Championship Wrestling From Georgia. Doch Anderson benötigte einen starken Sponsor, den er in Jim Crockett fand.
Crockett jedoch begann seine eigene Promotion Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling zur nationalen Organisation aufzubauen. So kaufte dieser im März 1985 kurzerhand Andersons' Promotion auf.
