Clinical Complexity Level (CCL, „klinischen Komplexitätsgrad“) ist eine Maßzahl im Bereich der Diagnosebezogenen Fallgruppen (G-DRG). Er spielt in der Dokumentation im Krankenhauswesen und insbesondere in dessen Abrechnung eine Rolle. Er wird während des sogenannten „groupings“ aus den Nebendiagnosen einer DRG ermittelt.
Erläuterung
Beim „grouping“ im Bereich der G-DRG werden die verschiedenen medizinischen Diagnosen zusammengefasst (gruppiert, „gegroupt“) und dazu die DRG ermittelt.
Diese DRG steuert maßgeblich die Vergütung für die Krankenhäuser durch die Krankenkassen oder entsprechende Einrichtungen, welche die Kosten der medizinischen Versorgung übernehmen. Dabei ist maßgeblich, was als Hauptdiagnose und was als Nebendiagnose deklariert wird.
Eine Prüfung dieser Gruppierung und auch der Gewichtung der Nebendiagnosen findet in Deutschland durch den MDK statt.
