HMS Amethyst

Den Namen HMS Amethyst trugen mehrere Kriegsschiffe der britischen Royal Navy:

  • Die erste Fregatte fünften Ranges mit 36 Kanonen. Das ursprünglich französische Schiff mit dem Namen Perle wurde 1793 von der Royal Navy gekapert und ging zwei Jahre später verloren.
  • Die zweite Kabelleger genutzt.
  • Die vierte Korvette und das Typschiff der Leichter Kreuzer der Topaze-Klasse, der 1903 vom Stapel lief und 1920 abgewrackt wurde.
  • Die sechste Sloop der Black Swan-Klasse, die 1943 vom Stapel lief. Das später zur Fregatte mit der Kennung F116 umklassifizierte Schiff wurde 1957 abgewrackt.
  • Die siebente HMS Amethyst sollte ein Minenabwehrfahrzeug der River-Klasse sein. Das Schiff wurde noch vor dem Stapellauf in Bangladeschs verkauft, wo es als Shapla in Dienst kam.
