Hayashi rice (jap. ハヤシライス, Hayashi raisu) ist ein japanisches Gericht. Es besteht aus Rindfleisch und Zwiebeln. Sie werden zu einer Kraftsauce zubereitet, die Rotwein oder Tomatensauce enthält. Dazu wird Reis gegessen. Eine ähnliches Gericht ist japanischer Curryreis.

Es gibt verschiedene Meinungen über der Ursprung der Bezeichnung. Eine Theorie besagt, dass Yūteki Hayashi (早矢仕 有的), der Gründer der Buchhandelskette Maruzen, der Erfinder des Gerichts war und es nach ihm benannt wurde.
