Lucía Pinochet

Inés Lucía Pinochet Hiriart (* 14. Dezember 1943) ist eine chilenische Politikerin. Sie ist die älteste Tochter des vormaligen chilenischen Diktators Augusto Pinochet.

Wegen Steuerbetrugs angeklagt, reiste sie in die USA aus und beantragte dort politisches Asyl. Jedoch wurde sie sofort nach Argentinien abgeschoben, wo sie zuletzt ihren Wohnsitz hatte. Im Dezember 2006 lobte sie ihren Vater bei seiner Beerdigung dafür, dass er im September 1973 die Flamme der Freiheit[1] zündete, als er den Putsch gegen Allende durchführte.

Am 13. September 2007 kündigte Lucía Pinochet an, dass sie als Unabhängige für einen Sitz im Parlament für einen Wahlkreis in Santiago de Chile kandidierte. Im Oktober 2007 wurde sie jedoch im Rahmen der Riggs-Affäre mit ihren Geschwistern verhaftet und 17 anderen Personen, unter anderem Generäle. Ihnen wurde Untreue und Verwendung falscher Pässe zur Last gelegt.[2]

Pinochet wurde bei den Kommunalwahlen 2008 als Gemeinderätin für die Gemeinde Vitacura gewählt.
