Die Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate (kurz MVTR) ist ein Messwert der Atmungsaktivität von Funktionstextilien. Zur Ermittlung des MVTR-Wertes wird die Wassermenge, die in 24 Stunden durch einen Quadratmeter Textil verdunstet, gemessen. Der MVTR-Wert wird als verdunstetes Wasser in Gramm pro Quadratmeter in 24 Stunden angegeben.
