Mamutica ist einer der bedeutendsten Bauwerke des sozialen Wohnungsbaus in der ehemaligen Sozialistischen Föderativen Republik Jugoslawien. Heute steht das Gebäude in Kroatien in der Stadt Zagreb.

Geschichte und Konzeption

Das Gebäude wurde 1975 nach Plänen des Architekten Đure Mirkovića fertiggestellt. Das Gebäude gehört zu den größten Wohnungsbauten in Europa. 1212 Wohnungen sind in dem 240 Meter langen, 70 Meter hohen Gebäude untergebracht. Knapp 5.000 Menschen leben in dem Gebäude. Heutzutage gilt der Bau als der größte soziale Brennpunkt in Kroatien.
