Mark P. McCahill

Mark P. McCahill (* 7. Februar 1956) ist ein US-amerikanischer Informatiker. Er war bei der Entwicklung und Popularisierung einer Reihe von Internet-Technologien seit Ende der 1980er Jahre beteiligt.[1]

Mark McCahill erhielt einen BA in Chemie an der Universität von Minnesota im Jahre 1979, und wurde später Apple II und CDC Cyber-Programmierer an der University of Minnesota Computer Center.

Er gilt as einer der wichtigsten Entwickler des Gopher[2], URLs und POPmail.
