Organizational Citizenship Behaviour

Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) ist ein Begriff aus der Arbeits- und Organisationspsychologie. OCB beschreibt eine Form von freiwilligem Verhalten in Form von zusätzlichem Engagement innerhalb der "Organisation", in der eine Person arbeitet. Unter OCB wird ein Verhalten verstanden, dass außerhalb der (arbeits-)vertraglich geregelten Pflichten liegt und daher nicht einforderbar ist. Es ist für OCB spezifisch, das es über das forderbare Engagement hinausgeht und es sich dabei nicht um opportunistisches Verhalten handelt, von dem der Handelnde sich einen persönlichen Vorteil erwartet. Ein einfaches Beispiel ist es, einem Kollegen bei einer Gelegenheit zu Hilfe zu kommen, zu der die Person nicht verpflichtet ist und für die die Person auch keine Gegenleistung erwartet.[1] Studien zu OCB untersuchen beispielsweise, ob OCB die Arbeitsleistung der beteiligten Individuen und/oder der Organisationseinheit, auf der das OCB stattfindet, steigert.[2]
