The Chippendales in Las Vegas

The Chippendales wurden 1979 von "Steve" Banerjee als Entertainment-Show speziell für Frauen gegründet.

Junge Männer treten in einer professionell choreografierten Show – einer Mischung aus Tanz, Gesang und Striptease – weltweit auf. Markenzeichen der Chippendales – oder kurz Chipps – sind weiße Kragen mit schwarzen Fliegen sowie weiße Manschetten an den Handgelenken.

Die Chippendales haben ihr Hauptquartier in New York, USA, und Büros unter anderem in London, UK. Derzeit gibt es fünf Gruppen, wovon vier in den USA auftreten: Westküste, Ostküste, Boston MA und Las Vegas NV. Die fünfte Truppe tourt jedes Jahr in Europa und im Jahr 2005 auch in Südafrika. Die Las Vegas-Truppe hat ihr Theater im Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, ein Stück abseits vom berühmten Strip.

Eine Show dauert ca. 1,5 Stunden plus einer Pause von etwa 20 Minuten, wobei sich die Zuschauerinnen am Ende der Show mit ihren Favoriten fotografieren lassen können.
