Der Stafford River ist ein Fluss im südlichen Westland-Distrikt in der Region West Coast auf der neuseeländischen Südinsel.

Er entspringt in dem Gebirgszug Stafford Range östlich des Lake Ellery nördlich der McArthur Tops und fließt in einem tiefen Tal im Gebirgszug nach Norden. Er besitzt mehrere Zuflüsse.

Nach ca. zehn Kilometern mündet er östlich des Orts Jackson Bay bei der Stafford Bay in der Tasmansee.[1]
