Tautoro (Māori:nach vorn strecken^[1]) ist eine Ortschaft im Far North District in der Region Northland auf der Nordinsel Neuseelands. Sie liegt etwa 8 km südöstlich von Kaikohe und dem dort verlaufenden State Highway 12. Nächstgelegene Ansiedlungen sind Punakitiere Valley im Osten, Awarua im Süden, Kirikoe und Te Iriga im Westen. ^[2] Der Ort liegt am Punakitere River, einem Zufluss des Waima River. ^[1]

Die Wirtschaft des Ortes ist von der Land- und Forstwirtschaft geprägt. ^[1]

Die Tautoro School ist eine koedukative Grundschule für die Klassen 1-8. Sie hatte 2009 ein decile rating von 1 und 89 Schüler.^[3] Die Schule wurde 1906 gegründet.^[4]
