Trans Adriatic Pipeline

Die Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) ist das Projekt einer rund 520 Kilometer langen Erdgaspipeline von Griechenland über Albanien durch die Adria nach Süditalien. Ziel ist der Transport von Erdgas aus dem kaspischen Raum über die Türkei nach Europa. Die Transportkapazität ist auf 10 bis 20 Milliarden Kubikmeter Erdgas pro Jahr veranschlagt. Zur Sicherstellung der Gaslieferung bei Engpässen soll das Projekt auch einen Gasspeicher in Albanien umfassen.[1] Mit der TAP konkurrieren die Nabucco-Pipeline und die Gasleitung Türkei-Griechenland-Italien (TGI) um aserbaidschanische Erdgas-Ressourcen.

Am Vorhaben ist die schweizerische EGL und norwegische Statoil zu je 42,5% und die deutsche E.ON Ruhrgas zu 15% beteiligt.
