Mike DeGagne von allmusic vergibt viereinhalb von fünf Punkten und urteilt: „Wild-Eyed Southern Boys marked the onset of the band’s sucess throughout the course of the decade“ (Wild_Eyed Southern Boys markiert die Fortsetzung des Erfolges für die Band durch den Verlauf des Jahrzehnts).^[2]
