Cinnamon (Comic)

Cinnamon (engl. "Zimt") ist der Titel einer Reihe von Westerncomics, die der US-amerikanische Verlag DC-Comics seit 1978 herausgibt.

Die erste Cinnamon-Geschichte erschien in Weird Western Tales #48 vom September-October 1978. Autor dieser Geschichte und Schöpfer der Reihe war Roger McKenzie, während die Zeichnungen von Dick Ayers und Danny Bulanadi (Tuschezeichnungen) besorgt wurden. Die Cinnamon-Geschichten erschienen bis in die frühen 1980er Jahre in Weird Western Tales. Nachdem die Reihe einige Jahre lang in Vergessenheit geraten war, wurde sie 2003 in Form einer Miniserie Cinnamon: El Circlo neubelebt.

Handlung

Die Serie handelt von den Abenteuern der lieblichen ("zimtsüßen") Revolverheldin Katherine "Kate" Manser, die nach der Ermordung ihres Vaters - des Sheriffs einer typischen Kleinstadt der Wildwestzeit - in einem Waisenhaus aufgewächst, sich selbst das Schießen beibringt, es darin zu vollendeter Meisterschaft bringt und schließlich beginnt sich auf die Suche nach den Mördern ihres Vaters zu machen. Ihre Jagd finanziert Cinnamon dabei, indem sie sich als Kopfgeldjägerin verdingt.
