Cold Wave bzw. Coldwave (engl. cold = „kalt, kühl“, wave = „Welle“) bezeichnet

  • eine musikkulturelle Strömung in Frankreich, die von Ende der 1970er Jahre bis Ende der 1980er Jahre modern war, siehe Dark Wave.
  • ein US-amerikanisches Modewort für Industrial Rock, das in den 1990ern vermutlich der Compilation-Serie „Coldwave Breaks“ entlehnt wurde. Ein Zusammenhang mit der französischen Cold-Wave-Bewegung besteht nicht.
  • Kaltlufteinbrüche in Nordamerika, die mit Temperaturabstürzen bis zu 25 Kelvin, Eisregen und Schneestürmen (Blizzards) verbunden sein können.
