Die Fédération Internationale du Sport Automobile (FISA) war über einige Jahre hinweg im Automobil-Motorsport die für das sportliche Reglement (das FIA-Regelwerk, beispielsweise für die Formel 1 oder Gruppe C) verantwortliche Hoheit innerhalb des Automobil-Weltverbandes Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).
Die 1922 vom damaligen FIA-Vorgänger Association Internationale des Automobile Clubs Reconnus (AIACR) ernannte Vorgängerorganisation Commission Sportive Internationale (CSI) wurde in den 1970ern in FISA umbenannt, 1993 jedoch in die FIA eingegliedert.
Die FISA, unter ihrem damaligen Präsidenten Jean-Marie Balestre († 27. März 2008), lieferte sich Ende der 1970er- bis Mitte der 1980er-Jahre einen erbitterten Machtkampf mit den Formel-1-Teams respektive Bernie Ecclestone, dem Chef der Teamvereinigung FOCA. Dessen Rechtsanwalt Max Mosley konnte sich jedoch gegen Balestre durchsetzen, wurde danach neuer Präsident der FISA und ist bis heute (Stand: 2009) Präsident der FIA.
