Das Datagram Congestion Control Protocol (kurz DCCP) ist ein Protokoll der Transportschicht. Es wird etwa zur Übertragung von Medienströmen in TCP/IP-Netzen verwendet, wenn ein Staukontroll-Mechanismus (zur dynamischen Anpassung der Senderate an die tatsächlich verfügbare Bandbreite) eingesetzt werden soll. Das sonst dafür häufig verwendete TCP-Protokoll bringt nämlich – etwa durch seine erzwungenen Bestätigungen – Nachteile bei der rechtzeitigen Zustellung von "Echtzeit-Daten" mit sich.
