Die Möhre (Daucus carota), auch Karotte genannt, ist eine Pflanzenart in der Familie der Doldenblütler (Apiaceae). Es werden mehrere Unterarten unterschieden.

Die Karotte (Daucus carota ssp. sativus), auch Gartenmöhre, Mohrrübe, Gelbe Rübe, Wurzel oder schweizerisch Rüebli genannt, ist eine Kulturform der Wilden Möhre (D. carota ssp. carota), die vermutlich mit der südeuropäischen Riesenmöhre (D. carota ssp. maximus) und evtl. der orientalischen Schwarzmöhre (D. carota ssp. afghanicus) gekreuzt wurde.
