David Carnegie, 14. Earl of Northesk

David John MacRae Carnegie, 14. Earl of Northesk (* 3. November 1954; † 28. März 2010) war ein britischer Peer.

Leben und Karriere

Carnegie war der Sohn von Robert Carnegie, 13. Earl of Northesk, und Jean Margaret MacRae. 1979 heiratete er Jacqueline Dundas Reid und hatte vier Kinder mit ihr:

  • Alexander Robert Macrae Carnegie, Lord Rosehill (* 16. November 1980; † 31. August 2001)
  • The Lady Sarah Louise Mary Carnegie (* 29. Oktober 1982)
  • The Lady Fiona Jean Elizabeth Carnegie (* 24. März 1987)
  • The Lady Sophie Margaret Jean Carnegie (* 9. Januar 1990)

Er war einer von 92 Peers mit ererbtem Titel (Hereditary Peer), die 1999 nach der Reform des House of Lords gewählt wurden, und durfte demnach damals seinen Oberhaussitz behalten. Carnegie gehörte der Conservative Party an. Im Jahr 2001 beging sein Sohn Alexander Selbstmord.
