Earl of Durham

Earl of Durham
John George Lambton, 1. Earl of Lambton

Earl of Durham ist ein erblicher britischer Adelstitel in der Peerage of the United Kingdom, benannt nach der Grafschaft Durham.

Stammsitz der Familie ist Lambton Castle nahe Chester-le-Street in der Grafschaft Durham.

Verleihung

Earl of Durham seinen Titel am 24.

Nachgeordnete Titel

Mit der Earlswürde wurde gleichzeitig der Titel eines Viscount Lambton verliehen, der ebenfalls zur Peerage of the United Kingdom gehört. Er wird vom Titelerben als Höflichkeitstitel geführt.

Bereits 1828 wurde John Lambton der Titel Baron Durham, of the City of Durham and of Lambton Castle in the County Palatine of Durham verliehen. Dieser Titel gehört ebenfalls zur Peerage of the United Kingdom.

Earls of Durham (1833)

Titelerbe ist der Sohn des derzeitigen Earls, Frederick Lambton, Viscount Lambton (* 1985)
