Edmund Norcott

Edmund Norcott (* ?; † ?), Commander der Royal Navy, war Gouverneur der britischen Kolonie Gambia und repräsentierte dort die britische Königin Victoria.

Norcott wurde am 10. Februar 1815 zum Leutnant und am 28. Juni 1838 zum Commander befördert.[1]

Am 10. November 1843[2] wurde er Nachfolger von Henry Froude Seagram als Gouverneur von Gambia, der zuvor im Oktober 1843 an einer Fieberinfektion verstorben war. Norcott war nur kurz, bis zum Ende des Jahres, im Amt und wurde von Charles Fitzgerald abgelöst.[3][4]
