Das Projekt Energy 52 ist die Zusammenarbeit der beiden deutschen Produzenten Kid Paul und Cosmic Baby.

Ihre EP Café del Mar war 1993 die erste (unautorisierte) Veröffentlichung des neu gegründeten Frankfurter Plattenlabels Eye Q Records. Da das Label damals keine Rechte an dem Stück besaß, wurde das Original bald vom Markt zurückgezogen. Heute ist Café del Mar eines der bekanntesten Trance-Stücke und einer der am meist geremixten Tracks überhaupt und erfreut sich auch fast zwanzig Jahre nach der Erstveröffentlichung noch an neuen Remixen. Den größten Erfolg hatte der Three 'N One Remix aus dem Jahre 1997.

Neben Café del Mar veröffentlichte das Duo unter anderem auch noch die Tracks State of Mind (1991) und Weak (1993).
