Eric Abetz

Eric Abetz (* 25. Januar 1958 in Stuttgart) ist ein australischer Politiker. Er gehört der Liberal Party of Australia an und ist Mitglied des Senats. Dort fungiert er seit 2010 als Führer der Parlamentsopposition.

Vom 21. Oktober 1998 bis 30. Januar 2001 war er parlamentarischer Sekretär des Verteidigungsministers. Danach war er Staatssekretär, bis er am 27. Januar 2006 als Nachfolger von Ian Macdonald den Posten des Ministers für Fischerei, Forst und Naturschutz erhielt, den er bis zum 3. Dezember 2007 innehatte.
